Montgomery (“Monty”) Griffin has been involved in the securities industry since 1985. Following a 10-year career as a registered representative at Merrill Lynch and PaineWebber (during which time he maintained a 100% clean compliance record), Monty was appointed by the NASD (now known as FINRA) to its Board of Arbitrators in 1995 to decide arbitration cases between financial institutions and their customers. Monty has been featured in such important mediums as the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, and the Dow Jones News Wire.   

Since 1996, Montgomery Griffin has successfully represented hundreds of parties in arbitrations and, more recently, court proceedings (including individuals, small businesses, Hollywood celebrities, and registered representatives) against leading financial institutions. In addition, Monty devotes a significant portion of his practice to counseling small businesses on how to conform their business practices to changing laws and pursuing legal rights of wrongfully terminated employees against their former employers.

Robert “Buzz” Griffin

Our firm also uses the consulting services of Robert “Buzz” Griffin, who has been a licensed real estate broker in California for 40 years. Buzz Griffin has negotiated and dealt with large banks and mortgage lenders for various purposes for decades. Buzz Griffin has a multi-faceted real estate background highlighted by his past work as a leading home builder and land developer in Yolo and Sacramento Counties, as well as having been selected as Sacramento’s Builder of the Year in 1975. Following his election in 1978, Buzz Griffin served a one-year term as the Chairman of the Sacramento Builders’ Industry Association (SBIA).
